Overview

SUPAVAC, developed by Air Automation Group, is a globally trusted brand for compressed air-operated vacuum pumping systems used in a wide range of industries. These units are renowned for their safety, simplicity, and reliability, particularly in applications involving heavy sludge, abrasive slurries and solid-laden waste.

SUPAVAC systems work without electricity or moving parts in contact with pumped media, making them ideal for use in explosive, wet, or hazardous environments such as oil & gas platforms, water treatment plants, mines and offshore vessels.

ZAR Lynx integrates SUPAVAC pumps in its service offerings as a primary tool for:

  • Sludge and slurry removal
  • Tank cleaning (onshore and offshore)
  • Sump evacuation
  • Mud pit cleaning
  • Hazardous waste recovery
  • Barge cleaning and bilge maintenance
  • Desanding in refineries and FPSOs
Products

The system works in two modes—suction and discharge—operated through a venturi vacuum system powered by compressed air. The suction phase draws in waste material using vacuum and the discharge phase expels the content using compressed air pressure into the desired storage or containment system.

SUPAVAC models include:

  • SV60V: Compact, powerful for small tanks and tight spaces.
  • SV110V: Mid-capacity pump for tanks and marine use.
  • SV250V: High-volume industrial pump capable of discharging material
    up to 1000 meters.

Custom skid-based units with full automation and remote-control capabilities.

Key features:

  • Safe for confined spaces
  • Intrinsically safe – ATEX compliant
  • Handles solids up to 75mm
  • Air consumption ranges from 150–750 CFM
  • Discharges at long distances without performance loss
  • Requires minimal manpower

The challenge in sludge management and tank cleaning lies not only in removing material, but in doing so safely, cost-effectively, and with minimal disruption. Manual labor in confined spaces exposes workers to toxic gases, heat and unstable footing. SUPAVAC systems eliminates some of these risks while enhancing speed and control.

Its ability to operate fully pneumatically, without electricity, makes it invaluable on offshore rigs, floating production units or remote mining sites. Furthermore, its modular design means it can be customized for everything from small sumps to massive crude storage tanks.

ZAR Lynx continues to lead in tank cleaning and industrial pumping services thanks to the integration of SUPAVAC systems in its workflows. Our joint track record showcases successful execution across marine, municipal, refinery, and offshore sectors, helping reduce downtime, improve safety and deliver cost-effective industrial cleaning solutions.

The SUPAVAC system delivered fast, clean, and safe results—proving its effectiveness over manual or mechanical pumping solutions.

SV60V Slurry & Solids Pump

The SUPAVAC SV60-V Slurry/Solid Pump is a one-man vacuum loading, pressure discharge pump capable of recovering and transferring up to 10m3/hr @SG1.0(44USGPM) of almost any flowable material.

The SV60-V pump generates up to 25”Hg+ of vacuum combined with high airflow which allows the unit to transfer materials ranging from mining slurries and oil sludge through to cementitious powders and grains.

The SV60-V pump is employed worldwide servicing farms, mines, drill rigs, construction sites, process and power plants and many more.

SV110-V Slurry & Solids Pump

The SV110-V Slurry/Solid Pump delivers over 25”Hg of vacuum whilst generating high inline convey velocities. The unit requires only 280CFM at 85psi to 100psi and can transfer heavy sediment with a high solids content up to a rate of 18m3/hr @SG1.0 (79USGPM).

The SV110-V Pump is a vacuum loading pressure discharge batch system that can recover from up to 50metres (164ft) and deliver up to 1000metres (3280ft) whilst remaining a one man or fully automatic operation.

The SV110-V’s 100 mm inlet and outlet along with its conical tank design make it a formidable tool for the removal of aggregate and mud slimes behind todays tunnel boring machines or continuous mining machines. Employed worldwide in the offshore drilling industry the SV110-V Pump is ideal for the rapid recovery of large-scale spills.

SV250-V Mining Slimes System

The SV250-V Mobile Sludge Pump is designed to transfer an extremely wide array of heavy sludges via 100mm suction and discharge lines.

The SV250-V has the ability to operate with various SX Jet Packs ranging from 150 to 750cfm depending on the operator’s requirements.

The SV250-V Mobile Sludge Pump is a vacuum loading pressure discharge batch system that can recover flowable slurries from up to 50 metres (164ft) and deliver the same in excess of 1000 metres (3280ft) whilst remaining a one man or fully automatic operation.

The SV250-V Mobile Sludge Pump can transfer in excess of 30 m3/hr @SG1.0 (132USGPM) depending on the required duty.

SV30 Solids Vacuum Pump

The SV30 Portable Solids Pump is a one person vacuum loading, pressure discharge pump capable of recovering and transferring almost any flowable sludge or slurry. The SV30 Portable Solids Pump is 100% air powered and operated, generates up to 22”Hg+ of vacuum combined with high airflow which allows the unit to transfer materials typically considered unpumpable. For more than 25 years SUPAVAC Solids Pumps have been employed worldwide servicing oil & gas, drill rigs, marine tank cleaning, mining, municipal, industrial, agriculture and construction industries.

SV510V Heavy Duty Solids Pump

The SV510 Heavy Duty Solids Pump is capable of capturing high-density slurries via a strong 26.5”Hg+ (90 kPa) vacuum combined with high-velocity airflows. It has a throughput capacity of up to and in excess of 90 m³/hr (396 USGPM) @ SG1.0 of various materials via vacuum load or top load gravity feed.

The SV510 synchronised pumping solution features 2 x SV510 pumps in a dual pump configuration, doubling the effective transfer rate. Parallel pump operation with common suction & discharge lines, either manual or fully automatic controls, allows for a delivery rate of upwards of 180 m³/hr @ SG1.0 for 2 x SV510 units.

The SV510 is supplied with an LPD Variable Control Low Pressure Discharge option, allowing operators to have complete control over the discharge cycle pressure. This ensures the use of only the necessary pressure to move material without compromising performance, reducing overall energy consumption and increasing safety by reducing pressure in pipelines and hoses.
